Gertrude Lawson

Gertrude Lawson, age 79 passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Advent Health Manchester, KY. She was born on Tuesday, January 15, 1946 in Manchester, Kentucky to Bill B. Gregory and Cora (Minton) Gregory.

She was a member of the Roots Branch Baptist Church and retired from the United States Post Office. She worked at the Hima and Manchester Post Offices.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Clay Lawson and these children: Tina Ann Sheets, Danny Ray Centers and Raiden Blake Lawson; these grandchildren: Brooke Ann Brock, Brandie Tishell Reynolds, Emily Rayne Centers, Mateo Garcilaza, Zoey Allen and Phoebe Allen; five great grandchildren: Melody Brock, Scarlett Hodges, O’Rion Hodges, Jaxson Smith and Lillian Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Bill B. and Cora Gregory; her great grandchild: Sephora Hodges; these brothers and sisters: Lillie Mae Hicks, Oakley Ray Gregory, Pearl Wilson, Chloe Smith, Sim Gregory, Christine Sizemore and Daugh Gregory.

Funeral Services for Gertrude Lawson will be conducted on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George David Blair, Rev. Joe Jones and Rev. David Wyatt will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Lawson-Gregory Cemetery in the Roots Branch Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday from 6:30 PM until 9 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
